    Hello
Over the past two days I have went through 3 of the best wordpress security plugins available, I’ll refrain from using names, the difference I experienced with the BPS plugin was huge! Every plugin I tried either conflicted with my theme (paid theme by a well known elite author) the plugins, or just simply was just not worthy of using. I tried BPS plugin this morning, and instantly my sites load-speed went from 76-89 how I’m not sure but it did. Possibly the other security plugins I used did not play nice with w3 total cache, I’m not sure so I will not point the finger. Just share what my experience is like using this plugin! BPS played fair with all my other plugins, no redirects trying to access the admin panel, no bad caching tools that do not work! I hope it continues to work as well as it has for me so far! If so I will purchase the pro version very soon for another site!

    Thank you,
    Fish

Thanks for the awesome Kudos! Very much appreciated.

I believe that one of the most important features in BPS is Custom Code. Custom Code is designed to not only give you full control of your htaccess files, but more importantly Custom Code allows you to whitelist anything legitimate that BPS might block by accident. The BPS Security Log logs everything so if something legitimate is being blocked then you can create a whitelist rule based on that logged information.

I just thought this was important to mention in case you do run into an issue with BPS blocking something legitimate in the future. It is rare, but does happen and most importantly it is quick and easy to take care of by using Custom Code.

Thanks again for the great Kudos!

I have went over this plugin from top to bottom trying to locate a conflict with any of my plugin’s and or theme. The only thing that found it doest play nice with is minify setting in W3 Total Cache, and then again that’s probably has to do with my personal settings. I’m so impressed with the quality of this plugin it’s unreal and hard to believe it’s a free plugin!

I will be upgrading to the pro version now I know that there are no conflicts with my site.

Thanks agian for offering this for free!

This is just my personal opinion based on past experiences with trying to do an automated one-size-fits-all minification thing – it does not work well in a very high percentage of cases. I think trying to automate minification in a one-size-fits-all way is probably impossible to pull off with 100% success. There are just too many differences between websites. Personally I believe there is only one way to do minification right and that is to do it manually by manually combining things. ?? I messed around with minification years ago, but none of my sites are currently doing any minification. I’ve found that if your theme has good coding work and you are using plugins that are loading frontloading scripts correctly then you really do not need to do any sort of minification.

Your exactly right! I knew at some point I would have to manually minify the css and java. It’s much better off that way, No time like the present! I’m in such a good mood your plugin worked so well I’ll minify my neighbours files too for free!

I added this additional info to my post above so you may want to rethink that

    Hi, Altpro

I’ve found that if your theme has good coding work

Exactly what my themes author “Neo” said to me earlier today.
I was discussing that topic on my themes support forum with one of the developers earlier today that was his exact words. I removed all minification settings earlier and It didn’t effect the speed of my site what so ever. I’m one happy camper! Not to say it’s not important for some themes but as you said if the coding was done properly there should be no need to be overly concerned with it.

I’m just happy I gave your plugin a try! Consider me a customer of your work!

Thanks for the advice and plugin!

Yep, your Theme can make or break your website performance. I recently recoded my custom Theme so that it was streamlined purely for speed (bye bye silly lead weight frills). Shaved off 1+ seconds page load speed.

As long as your theme design is not fugly no one else really cares about bells and whistles and what matters is functionality, good navigation and load speed. ??

If I may, I would toss my own nickel into the pot here…

BPS was among the first plugins I ever used when I began a bit of webmastering as a complete rookie a little over two years ago, and I continue to be greatly impressed by its overall quality, your personal character and the fact that BPS covers my butt whenever anything at all comes up that I could not possibly have dealt with on my own…and I will start my own support thread in relation to that in just a few minutes. But since the kudos are already rolling here in this thread, I would like to also mention how impressive it is to me that you included this in the last BRS Changelog:

    Special thanks to Pietro Oliva…

Is it in humility that we might occasionally ponder arrogance or might it be arrogant to ponder our humility?! I do not know, but I think you and BPS are two of the very best of any class.

Many thanks for a great plugin!
