• Hi all,

I’ve looked through this and many other forums, and couldn’t find a solution for what I need.

I’ve developed my company’s website (www.garapa.org) using WP 2.5, in Portuguese, and I’d like to start an English version of it. Since I don’t need exact matches between both versions (they don’t have the exact same content), none of the available plugins suited my needs. So I made a 2nd WP installation inside a /en/ folder (www.garapa.org/en). They’re gonna be very similar, but also independent (we’ll have some single-language-oriented content).

What I’d like to have is the server redirecting the home page according to the user’s browser language settings. I mean, if someone whose browser isn’t set to Portuguese type https://www.garapa.org it would be redirected to the https://www.garapa.org/en automatically. I’ll obviously have the language flags/links on each site, but the thing is I’d only like to advertise the main address (www.garapa.org), not a https://www.garapa.org/en, get it?

Is there any .htaccess rewrite command that would do it?

    Thank you.
    Paulo.
