Billing adress isnt shown in dashboard member list

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to the Paid Memberships Pro team.

Paid Memberships Pro 3.0+ made the move to have all billing address fields set on an order level rather than a user account level as each order or transaction may have different billing address information.

We have a guide available here https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/types-of-addresses/#h-physical-address (scroll down to the How to Capture a Member’s Physical Address section) where it walks you through how to create billing address fields using our built-in User Fields.

You would then need to use this code recipe (https://gist.github.com/ipokkel/867fb8103f7e789ae089e55cbc93a9dc) to specify which fields need to be readonly on the member’s profile. You can specify the field names that this should apply to on line 17.

Thank you so much, Ive entered the code in code snippets and changed this line so I thought the field medlemsnummer (member number) would not be writeable for member.

$readonly_fields = array( ‘medlemsnummer’ );

But it still is. Ive set it to read only – and the only ones who cant edit it is admins. ??

Have I made the changes correctly on the line?

I just need to understand correctly. I dont want an extra adress to be recorded – I just want the billing adress to be shown under dashboard -> the plugin – and the member profile. I would like the member to be able to correct the adress if they move when they login to the user.

Thank you for your feedback. Please ensure that the field is created as a readonly field under Memberships > Settings > User Fields as the code recipe makes it an editable field when you are an admin viewing/editing it.

Users can still edit their memberships number. That field should be locked. Maybe it would be an idea to be able to output it on the membership account where you see when you have to renew your membership again – is that possible? – but If admin edit it, it wont show on the userside now ??

And if the user edits the membership number it disappears from edit profile
