I updated the Papal Payment plugin to the newest version 2.0.1 and all orders have been failed. The error is related to billing field. Please help me to resolve this error.

Hi @adleyho,

Are you hiding most of the billing fields on your checkout page? If so, can you tell us how you do it, so we can perform a few tests with the configuration?

One way to prevent potential compatibility issues with the early validation is by disabling it with this filter:
```
add_filter('woocommerce_paypal_payments_early_wc_checkout_validation_enabled', '__return_false');
```
To get at least the billing email field validated, you could try enabling the basic validation with this filter:
```
add_filter( 'woocommerce_paypal_payments_basic_checkout_validation_enabled', '__return_true' );
```
This is not “as smart” as the early validation, but should prevent the issue. I hope this helps!

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

On the checkout page, customers can choose to enter billing information or mark it the same as the shipping address. So if they choose option 1, and do not enter all billing fields, the payment can not go through. Please find the attached images.

Thanks for the screenshots. This looks like custom behavior in your checkout flow, as the buyer seemingly first provides a shipping address and can then later on choose to set a different (or the same) billing address.

With the shipping configuration from the second screenshot, WooCommerce usually provides a Ship to a different address? checkbox that’s disabled by default. Normally, the buyer provides billing data, and if Ship to a different address? is not checked, the same billing data is used for the shipping.
But in your case, it appears to work the other way around, and this could potentially interfere with the way PayPal Payments validates and sends the billing data to PayPal.

Is this Billing Address area with the radio buttons coming from your theme or from a page builder?
PayPal Payments has to implement a custom validation behavior for the smart buttons to work correctly, and this can potentially interfere with certain checkout modifications.
In case you haven’t updated yet, I suggest giving it a try with the latest version 2.0.1 as this improves the validation compatibility with third-party plugins. There is still room for improvement, though.

I use Botiga theme, and billing area coming from the theme.

It provides a checkout layout (3 steps like Shopify) and customer will type the shipping field before entering billing field (can choose as the same or typing new address).

I upgraded to the lasted version 2.0.1 as you mentioned, but it still has error.
