    Hi!

I want to use custom field type “select” for the field “billing_postcode” (and then have different shipping costs for different values).
the issue is that in the checkout page, when I choose billing_postcode this way, the shipping costs won’t refresh automatically.
Any suggestions how to solve this issue?

    Thanks

Can you please try adding the class “update_totals_on_change” to the Class of the select field and verify from your side?

    Thank you!

    Hi

first, thanks for the very quick response, much appreciated!

I wanted to create the custom field “billing_postcode” to try your solution, but something weird happened!

It seems like the settings are cached and when I create any type of custom field (select, radio…) with the name billing_postcode, it turns to the “text” type!

I reset to the default fields and tried again with no luck.

what do you think I should do?

    Thanks

Unfortunately, it is not possible to create a custom field with the default field name. If you provide billing_postcode for the custom field then it will behave as the default WooCoomerce field. Please note that this is a default feature of WooCommerce.

    Thank you!
