• Hi, does anyone here know how he got those menus on his kubrik theme? He said to rip out the code. But how do I do that? Can someone give me a step by step detailed instructions on how? Please? I am having a hard time understanding what the kubrik author was saying.

  • well, since Michael said it was ok…

In your browser, navigate to binarybonsai.com

Now “view source” for the main page.

Take a look at the window:
    1. in the header of the source page you’ll find a link to the .css file. make a note of that.
    2. scroll to the code for the menu
    3. in a text editor (note pad, simple text, etc…) cut and paste the code for the menu.
note the “class” and “id” of the menu (usually navigation, supercontainer, or navmenu)
    4. now open the .css address in your browser.
    5. search for the “class” and “id” associated with the menu
    6. copy and paste this into your text application.

Now you have the basic constructs for Michael’s menu.

For a write up of a similar, but nowhere near as pretty version, check this out

    good luck.

Hey! Uhm, I will go to work now. 4am. Can you email me? I jsut wanna talk to you about this stuff. Please? Mine’s [email protected]. I’m so sorry to ask stupid questions. Then you answer them and I still can’t follow them. I bookmarked this page so I can get back to it as soon as i’m done with work. Thank you so much for replying, although i’m still having a hard time following your instructions. Although I manage to view the source. I just can’t understand or follow what you want me to do next.

Anyway, cheers. I’m off to work. Thanks for helpin a stupid newbie.

There is aplugin that will create this for you, it was designed for kubrick – i just can’t remember the name of the plugin.

So, failing my memory, you can try these excellent examples:
