Bind field with quantity

Hi we would like to use one of the select fields as a custom quantity field. So the customer is forced to select say 20 | 100 | 250 as a quantity.

Does the “Bind field with quantity” setting allow this and make the field which is being bound the new quantity selector? Have had a look through the documentation but this setting is not mentioned anywhere.
