  • It’s not theme specific, you have to check with BuddyPress.org support , it’s little custom job for BuddyPress, DOB fields are saved as xProfile data using BuddyPress.

So happy that you replied me Sir.

I really sincerely appreciate this greatly.

Now, you have this plugin— https://wbcomdesigns.com/downloads/buddypress-birthdays/

Can you then extend this plugin to be able to send Birthday Greetings to the registered Email address of users?

I’m saying this, because this plugin already has a way to track user’s Birthday.

Can you please try to extend the plugin to be able to send a Birthday Greeting from Admin Email to users on the day of their Birthday?

    Regards.

It’s not complex; you can use this as a sample to extend the language of email https://pastebin.com/NE9VjTPd

I don’t know yet, if you just solved my problem.

1.) I want the message to be sent by 6am to the User.

If I change “daily” in the code to “06:00“, will this make it send the message by 6am in the Morning of West African Local Time?

2.) This is the Member Directory I’ve already created with Ultimate Member plugin— https://member.cordialmarketplace.com/

The problem is that they refused to lift a single finger to help with modifying the code a bit, to achieve sending the Birthday Greeting by 6am West African Local time.

If your code will work, it means that I will remove Ultimate Member from my website, and use BuddyX Theme.

But before I remove Ultimate Member from my website, and use BuddyX Theme, I will like to ask:

    — Can BuddyX Theme give me the same design as I have on my website currently?

I mean, can I show Date of Birth and Profession on the frontend with BuddyX, in the way I have it presently on my website?

    Regards.

As mentioned earlier, BuddyX is based on BuddyPress. If you already have a live site with Ultimate Member, there is no need to switch to the BuddyX theme as it will recreate the site using BuddyPress. You can continue using Ultimate Member if you prefer.

I’ve understood what you are saying– that BuddyX is based on BuddyPress.

    But you didn’t understand me.

I’m saying that the CRITICAL FEATURE that my Project needs, is the Birthday Greetings Email functionality.

Ultimate Member has the code I showed you here–?https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1765-send-birthday-greetings-to-accounts-with-today-s-birthdays

But they refused to provide any support on it.

I needed them to tell me how I can get that Code to send the Email by 6am.

Unfortunately, they said they don’t offer support for the code. This makes it look like “Use at your own risk“.

But if the BuddyPress / BuddyX Code you sent me will work, and if you help me modify the time– so that it sends the Email by 6am.

Then there’s no point keeping Ultimate Member when it is useless in providing me my most needed feature.

1.) Do you understand me now? — on why I could change to BuddyX?

1b.) Can you Please help me modify the code you sent, so that it sends the Birthday Greetings Email by 6am in the morning?

    Or,
If I change the word “daily” in the code to “06:00“, will this make it send the message by 6am in the Morning of my website’s Locale Time?

2.) Can BuddyX through BuddyPress, show Date of Birth and Profession on the frontend, in the way I have it presently on my website here–??https://member.cordialmarketplace.com/

    IN PASSING
Before you discourage me, I’m already installing BuddyX to test the code you sent me.

I’m however waiting for the modified version of the code that can help me change the time.

    Regards.
