• I have a website running Thesis template – and has been very happily for months now. For some reason this evening my clients website https://www.cheapcentralheating.co.uk is re directing him to an adult site when he visits it using any of his iOS devices (iPads and iPhones) – but this doesnt happen when he uses his windows based devices. It also doesnt happen for me or a number of people I have contacted.
The only thing that has been changed recently is the 3.51 update – could this be causing it and should I roll it back on the server ?
I am almost 100% positive that this is not a problem with the site but if any of you have time to take a look and let me know if you see anything I would be eternally grateful, and mabe get some sleep….

    Thanks in advance.

  • Nope, just checked my iPad – nothing but CCH Leeds… Sounds like maybe on his device – I hate to ask, but what kind of apps has he downloaded??

…when he visits it using any of his iOS devices…

I would begin by checking those devices and their connection account, but I would not want to have to be the one to suggest that to him.

Yeah this is what I am thinking, but he is saying multiple iOS devices are giving the same problem – could it be his router ?

He its telling me his other devices are fine, I have others looked at it from various places with various devices and I can not replicate this behavious – I don’t like to tell a client they are the problem but I can’t see what else to do ?

Has he tried his devices from a different ISP connection? Or tried other people’s devices on his connection?

Nope, thats my next step in the morning – could I sort the problems by resetting his router maybe – or changing the DNS to OpenDNS ?

Sorry, I really don’t know – I’d still just try to replicate it or narrow down when and where it happens. Double check your plugins just in case you have a “loser” – but it still seems like that would affect other people too. Is the site using any social media connections?

The only social media plugin is the Yoast SEO Plugin – but the social media connection sections arent active. I have tried disabling all plugins I can do with and will see what happens when I visit my client in the morning – thank you all for your time.

Well, good luck. Hope it’s solvable and without too much fuss :).

I am feeling a lot more confident that its not the website causing the problem, to be honest that was my main concern.
