Bizar – Unable past anything into a post or a page

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

Thanks for the tips, have done so but still no joy. Just to add a little more to this, you can pasts but when you click on the update page/post the pasted text disappears and the old text remains.

Could this be an issue with the DB? Is there some way of doing internal testing/trouble shooting or is there a log I could look at?

Unlikely if you can create new pages.

Are you using Firefox with Google Gears? If so, disable Gears.

No gears used at the moment. This is really odd.

If I copy paste from within wp it’s fine, if I copy something outside of wp and paste it in, it reverts back to the old text…

I thought it was client side but doing the same from a Fedora equiped laptop has the same results.

I’s a new site and not much content, I think I’ll trash it and start clean. I have other wp on the same host, same rev level and same plugins and they are ok.

Spent too much time on this.
