Bizway:I can't customize "readmore".

I can’t customize “readmore”.

I had change the function the_excerpt() into the_content().
and insert <!–more–> in the article whitout whitespaces before tag.
but it’s still dose not work.

finally I change the theme with Graphene1.1.2(old version)
the “readmore” is work againg!!

it’s seem that new version theme can’t using customize “readmore”
could someone tell me how to deal with it.
