• I installed the Poseidon theme. Didn’t get the pretty looking version I saw when I chose it. Just plain black and white, no images, no color backgrounds.

So I purchased the Pro license and installed and activated.

Still a boring black and white site with no images. I thought I’d be able to start with that great looking Poseidon site and then swap out the images with my own as needed.

Was I wrong? Kinda a disappointing experience so far.

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for using Poseidon.

The images and text used in the demo are content and therefore stored in the WordPress database, not the theme. The theme itself mostly defines the design, but you need to add content by yourself.

However, you can contact us on https://themezee.com/contact/ and we can provide you the exported demo content, which you can then import with one click on your website.

Afterwards you can simply switch the demo content with your own.

    Best,
    Thomas

Getting back to my blog. Thanks for your help. I have figured out how to add my own image. And I put in the magazine widget. It’s an improvement for sure.

I’m still trying to figure out something better than black text on white. My site: https://www.r2bd.com

An example site that isn’t black on white: https://www.daringfireball.net

I’ve have looked all through the customization options and can’t seem to find one for the basic background and font color. The background color I found, but other than flashing quickly, the background is completely covered by the content.
