Black Dot On Top Left of Slideshow

I am using the Simple Slideshow Manager in a widget in the Header of a website on the Canvas Theme. In the upper left corner of the slideshow there is a black dot. I cannot find how it is inserted or any description using the browser inspection tool.

This same dot appears when I insert the slideshow into a footer widget.

How can I get the black dot to go away?
