Black Page with White X

That’s not what I see

So click on one of the post. Then it turns black.

I see this error in the console; I think it’s related:

j Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.thecirclelranch.com/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure element 'https://www.thecirclelranch.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/67348_166151510077197_984543_n.jpg?id=194'.

Do you know where you assigned that image to the page?

This might also be a theme thing.

As a quick test, change your theme to “twentytwenty”. Does the problem go away?

If so, because you’re using a commercial/premium theme/plugin, please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

I did change that but it didn’t fix the problem. Do you have another idea?

It looks like this is supposed to be a Swipebox slider. Is that correct? If so, what plugin are you using for the slider?

No, that handles your RSS feed. This may all be bundled into your theme, so I suggest dropping them a support request.

Yes all of them are up to date!

OK, troubleshooting time, part 2:

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.
