In the latest release we changed the name of the widget to “Visual Editor”. Please double check that you have it.

Great plugin! I had the same problem but luckily came here and saw this post. Could you maybe update this page to reflect the new “visual editor” widget name to help prevent confusion for future users? https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/installation/ Thanks again for creating such a great plugin.

@dhobeika Yeah, we will adjust the documentation on the next update.

I downloaded this today, installed and activated it, but it still doesn’t show up on my Widgets page.

Did you look for the widget as “Visual Editor?” I was looking for it alphabetically in the B’s for “Black Studio Tiny MCE” but then saw this post and realized it had been renamed to “Visual Editor.”

I scrolled down further and, lo and behold, there was Visual Editor. Thanks for the help. It’s been two very long days and I’m pretty punchy. But I’m really happy with what I’ve been able to build so far.

Believe it, or not. I too needed this answer just today. Thank you. I mean it. ??

I am a newbie at building websites. On a YOuTube video that I am following to build my site (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jv47_VIBOQ), I noticed that the Black Studio Tiny MCE had boxes for bold, italic, etc. as if it were a Word document. Also, he had a box to click to insert a link. I downloaded, installed and activated Black Studio Tiny MCE and my “Visual Editor” has none of those boxes. Are they available?
    Thank you.

Problem solved. It turns out that the reason that the icons mentioned in my previous question did not show, is because in my Internet Explorer 11, I have, in the accessibility area, checked the “Ignore font styles specified in Webpages”.I do this so that I can read newspapers in Arial instead of Times New Roman. In this case it eliminated the icons entirely. I can find them if I hover the cursor in just the right place, or if I uncheck the “Ignore font styles specified in Webpages”.

    Thank you

Great answer, I saw the visual editor, but didn’t put 2 and 2 together. Thanks a lot for your answer
