Blacklisted plugin

    While trying to install the plugin on WordPress.com, I get the error below:

    “wordpress-popular-posts” has been deactivated, it is known to cause severe database performance issues and is not supported.

    The plugin is automatically disabled as soon as I activate it. It also seems to be blacklisted on GoDaddy: https://www.godaddy.com/help/blacklisted-plugins-8964

    Anyone having issues with the plugin?

    Hi @minachu,

    GoDaddy is no longer blacklisting WordPress Popular Posts. If you check the “More info” column it clearly says:

    Versions 3.1.1 and below

    WordPress Popular Posts on GoDaddy's plugin blacklist

    You should be able to use the latest version of the plugin on GoDaddy just fine (that’s 4.1.2 at the time of writing).

    I wasn’t aware that wordpress.com has blacklisted WordPress Popular Posts so thanks for the heads up. The plugin offers a few features to help performance but if wordpress.com decided to prevent users from installing it there’s nothing much I can do about it.
