    Hello. On my site when I try to log in to view the pending comments and/or try to access the plugins page, I am getting a blank page. The rest of my site works fine, but it’s just after I log in to WP where I try to put up a new post or view anything afterwards that comes up blank. It’s a fansite, so is this something that can be checked on through someone on WP or would I have to ask someone on the fansite forum network? It’s been like this for days.

  • Can you access server error logs? That can help pinpoint the issue. You could try increasing your memory limit as well.

    I don’t have access to ftp or cpanel (don’t have my own login info for that), so no.

    I would try contacting your host. It’s difficult to troubleshoot with nothing to go on.

    By host would it be the fansites network? That’s another place I tried, since when you visit my fansite, it seems to be hosted by them, but anyway, I had told them the issue & they told me to check the logs along with this: Go into the /wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/inlinepopups/skins/clearlooks2/img/ and delete EVERY file in there that is not an image. Be sure your WP install is updated and all your plugins and updated and compatible, change your password and you should be goof to go. Check to see if that fixed it.

    3. Change the name of your /plugins/ folder and visit your site. If your site appears again, one of your plugins is to blame. Remove them one by one until you find which one isn’t working.

    4. Change your theme back to a clean, default theme and test that.

    5. If all of the above fail, it is time to re-upload all of the files to your webspace. Leave the database intact so you don’t lost any posts.

    basically check all that via the ftp, but the person who helps me run the site who does have the ftp login said she checked and didn’t find the plugin existed on the server and suggested someone override the WP files.

    I was also told to do a manual clean up & it could be done via the cpanel.

    What WordPress version are you running? Are you sure this person followed all of those steps?

    Do you know what your memory limit is set at? You can try setting a memory limit via your wp-config.php file with the following code:

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M' );

    I should have the latest update, pretty sure I do. I know there’s another pending update, but I’m not able to see what it is since all I’m getting is the blank page deal whenever I try to click on any of the buttons. But I should be getting the cpanel login tomorrow from the girl who actually tends to do all the technical stuff on the site, so hopefully I should be able to give you some more info on this whole situation because it’s super frustrating.

    She wasn’t able to do the steps herself because she said it sounded too complicated and wanted to know if anyone could help.

    Okay, so I finally have access to cpanel. It shows the last 300 error log messages in reverse. Do I PM you about it or just post all of them here? & I think the memory is set at 60.03 GB / 1 TB

    Still need help with this. Can someone else help? I saw on a few sites, if you access the site through FTP & change the plugin folder name, the dashboard should be able to come back up. Can this be done through cpanel as well? How would I do it? I’m a newbie when it comes to this stuff, so the more detail the better.

    As I said, everything on my site works fine but after I log into the admin panel, aside from the top nav bar where buttons appear (add new posts, comments, updates, etc), the page itself is blank.
