• I recently moved the site to a new host via FTP and now all admin pages are blank, except Appearance – Current Theme Options. This page is displayed fine. I can login in just fine and the front end looks fine, just the admin pages are blank. The sidebar is visible, just the main page content. Cannot even upgrade so actually not sure which version of WP is running.

I have read a bunch of other help articles that talk about removing blank spaces in the beginning and end of various files, which I have done but this did not help. I also tried re-uploading the entire site folder, but that did not help either.

Update – Akismet Stats page also displays correctly.

I appreciate that, definitely will continue to read this article but I did follow it when moving. The wp-config.php file was updated with the new database info, if you do not do this, the front end does not work.

    Moving to a New Server
If you are moving WordPress from one server to another, begin by backing up your data. This includes backing up your WordPress database as well as all the core files, images, plugins, and other files on your site. See WordPress Backups and Backing Up Your Database for more details.

Note: If you are changing to a new server but same domain, all you need to do is edit wp-config.php with your new database/user information and upload everything as it is to your new server.
