    Hi there, I’ve been wondering why I haven’t received any comments in over a week. After logging out of my WordPress account and going to my site, I realized that my comment boxes are blank. Not sure what I’ve done to mess them up, but I would appreciate any help to get them fixed. Here’s the site: https://www.meandmydiy.com Thanks!

    Doing a little investigating and here’s a comment from October 4, which is the last day I received a comment. Obviously has something to do with this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/comment-replies-getting-cut-off?replies=4#post-3226849

    The same thing is happening on my site. I was able to see the comments yesterday. Perhaps this is a WordPress issue.

    @rhondajsmith: It is impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread with a question of your own and it causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers. Please post your own topic.

    @dlthompson06: Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the parent Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    @esmi,

    This is my first time posting on the forum so thank you for letting me know the rules. I wasn’t trying to be impolite. Since DLThompson06 and I were having the same issue I thought this was to place to make my comment.

    I’ve gone through and checked all of my plugins, and it appears to be my Jetpack plugin. So what do I do now? Thanks again for your help!

    Rhonda, don’t feel bad, I did the same thing myself a while back. ??

    Um, I noticed that when I reactivated my JetPack, I only have stats for this morning. Have I lost all my stats data up until now??

    Just realized all my subscribers are gone too. HELP!!

    This seems to be a DIY forum today. Everyone must be pretty busy, because I usually get a response pretty quickly. In any case, I was able to figure out how to get my stats and subscribers back, all but the last couple of hours or so anyway (no biggee) by following this thread:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/jetpack-stats-lost?replies=24

    Now I’m back to the original issue. No one can comment on my site because my comment box is just a blank grey box. I’ve narrowed the problem down to an issue with the Jetpack plugin (I’m assuming, since when I deactivate that plugin, the comments box is back to normal) but I’m not sure what to do now that I know. I guess I’ll try resetting the plugins folder, as suggested above. Will post back with results, in case anyone else stumbles onto this thread and is wondering.

    That didn’t take care of the problem. ??

    There seem to be a few threads about the same issue.

    Disabling JetPack worked for me, but this is a horrible workaround as there’s a lot of functionality I want with JetPack.

    Thankfully the issue seems to be with JetPack and not our own blogs. So hopefully they’ll resolve it soon.

    Hi Ciaran, thanks. I really don’t want to disable JetPack either. Both have worked for me in the past, so I really don’t get it. I did make a change to my stylesheet.css on October 4th because my comments were getting cut off at the bottom (see link I posted above) and that’s the same day I stopped getting comments, so I still think it has something to do with that.

    Maybe.. but if you see in the other thread, no one else changed anything on their blogs and it still stopped working.
