Blank Dashboard after automatic upgrade to version 3.3

  • I just did an automatic upgrade to version 3.3

    The website works fine
    I can log into the dashboard but the screen is blank

    Getting a blank dashboard, but the site works perfectly. Renamed the plugins folder but that didn’t fix it, so turned on debug in the config file. This is the result when accessing wp-admin:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_update_data() in /data/in/v/victoria/www/wordpress/wp-admin/menu.php on line 34

    ….now to figure out how to fix this….suggestions?

    I upgraded to 3.3 about 3am this morning and ALL OF MY DATA FILES WERE DELETED! POST, PAGES, AND MEDIA IMAGES.

    Same login issue as the original topic. I had to go into my ‘file manager’ in cpanel. I located the wp-content folder clicked the + button to open it and checked the plugins I don’t use often and PopUpDomination, OptinDomination, and SidebarDomination. Clicked delete and now have access to my dashboard and didn’t have to delete any admin folders. whew!

    This is awful as PopUpDom3 was just upgraded and now this 3.3 change. I will try to re-install it after shooting an email to James. The support is never fast with PUD.

    I left EasyVideoPlayer plupin and optimizepress theme alone.

    2 Very simple questions:
    Do I re-name the PopDomination folder by placing a ‘3’ at the end of the name? Will it still install?

    BREAKING WORDPRESS NEWS!!!

    Ok, if you lost data due to the most recent WordPress Upgrade to version 3.3, this is what you do.

    Contact your web host provider, I recommend Hostgator if you dont have a clue, and ck to have them reset your database. We are back up and running at Blacksonville.net!

    Good Luck! Be sure to backup files before updating to WordPress 3.3!!

    I strongly advise you don’t “reset your database” since that won’t even make sense to most people …. I can’t say I know even know what you mean by “resetting a database”, but there’s a good chance someone may misinterpret this and erase their database or create a new one …. don’t do that, you’ll lose all your data ….

    If you lose data in your upgrade, you should restore it with the backup you made BEFORE you attempted to upgrade … since this should be a pretty rare occurrence, it shouldn’t affect most people ….

    If you aren’t sure what to do with Popup Domination, delete it and upload the newer version.

    I tried to do the automatic update to 3.3 and then I got error:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /data/24/2/111/82/2600408/user/2852094/htdocs/home/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 151

    Can anyone help. I get this everytime I log in.

    I succeedded with version 2.5 of plugin, I just redownloaded it again.
