• Morning,
    I am having two problems:
    1) I have several drafts I created by accident while learning WordPress. When I click on these drafts to attempt to delete them the page is blank. There are no options or anything..I just get a plain blank screen.
    2) When I am creating a new post and click on the “Advanced Editing” button, I get the same exact screen as I described above.

I can live without Advanced Editing, but right now I have quite a few drafts that I can not delete.

    Stats:
    -Wordpress v1.5.2
-Receive the same screen on Firefox 1.07 and IE 6.0
    -Cleared cache
-Tried it with and without the default Theme

I have searched online and on this forum, but could not find anything that might fix my problem.

Any help or proper direction would be greatly appreciated.

    ~Jeff

  • You could just trash them directly via mysql or some other sql interface.

    Thank you,
Any idea on how I could do this? Where the data might be stored?

Also that does not solve the Advanced Editing issue. ??

    Thanks!

Do you have shell access ? If you do, then the tables are called wp_posts, wp_post2cat and wp_postmeta. The table structure (and even the names) will make it easy for you to figure out which records to delete from which tables.

I’m kinda nervous giving you this information because I may be telling you enough to make yourself dangerous (you could really mess up your WP installation).

I would offer to delete them for you, but I don’t want you to give me shell access to your machine.

I use Advanced by default: you can set it in Options > Writing, so you don’t have to click.
