Blank page :\

  • Hey everybody :>
    ive setup wordpress, but when i go to log in, it just gives of a blank page ??
    ive setup b2 and it works ok, besides the fact it doesnt post stuff every time ??
    err but yeh lol, any ideas on what this could be, if you want the config of anything leme know.. ill spa.. post it here ??
    im using php 4.3.1, mysql 3.23.52-nt, apache 1.3.27. runing on winxp pro :|, and im trying to run it of my pc .. if that makes any differance ??

    edit: i cant view anything but b2login.php.. everything else is an empty white page ??
    im trying to use wordpress-071-gold, ill try the newest beta ??
    ok that didnt go so well, it installed fine but nothing loads at all now ??
    i tried installing b2, then updating to the new wp version, no luck lol.

    Have you tried adding:
    $abspath = '/home/webcindario/cerebro-dividido/';
    At the bottom of the config file (v0.71 and younger, not v0.72 Beta), as detailed in this thread? A different issue, I know, but it might help.
    Alternatively, v0.72 Beta may work for you where v0.71 doesn’t, although it is beta software.

    Does anyone ever get any help on this forum? I have the same problem described by Glennzor above. The install semed to go smoothly but I can’t see the blog page. When I look at the page source in my browser there is only the mimimum code necesssary to make the page an html page. But as viewed on the server it is full of code.
    The last comment was posted in September but I see no sign of a solution. I appreciate the work of the developers on new features, but this problem is about to convince me I can’t use wordpress at all. I suspect the in my case difficulty is with some server setting on Powweb.com, where I am hosted, but they do no provide support for installation of specific scripts, so if no one here can help, I’d say it’s goodby. Too bad, because I was looking for a script with these features–especially the ability to blog text and pictures by e-mail. Absolutely perfect for folks who have to submit reports but don’t want to learn any new tchnology at all.

    Sorry, but if you’re seeing a blank page with no errors or anything than your problem isn’t with WordPress, it’s with something else. WP will return some error unless there’s something wrong with the way your actual server is set up.

    Same problem. This is with a new web host, so I suspect it’s a php.ini issue.

    wow. did the install page show up ok?

    I’m having the same problem here on my computer. I set up WP to work under /var/www/blogs and then turned the options in wp-config.php to properly function with my mysql database (already and running).
    But when i point my browser to https://localhost/blogs/wp-admin/install.php, expecting to WP install correctly, i get a blank page.
    The same thing happens when i point to https://localhost/blogs: a blank page appears.
    Anyone have passed through this?
