Blank page

    I’m kinda new to WordPress, though I’ve been a long-time flash programmer and web designer. I’m trying to install this theme but when I activate it, it just yields a blank page. Even my admin dashboard for WordPress disappears.

    the only way I can get my admin panel back is if I uninstall wordpress and reinstall it again. I tried to clear my plugins, but it’s still coming up blank whenever I try this theme out. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    I encountered the same problem only a blank screen after login.

    OS Ubuntu 12.04 desktop 64bit
    Wordpress 3.3.1

    # ls -ald /usr/share/wordpress/wp-content/themes/blackbird
    drwxrwxrwx 7 www-data www-data 4096 Feb 2

    I have to remove /usr/share/wordpress/wp-content/themes/blackbird to get the dashboard back after login

    Edit:
    I also install a new WorPress to test blackbird theme but without result, same problem

    Are you using the latest WordPress Installation. If yes, make sure your “Reading Settings” under the Setting Tab is set to default and you are not displaying any custom page as Home page under the “Reading Settings”
