Blank page after login

    It happens a strange thing, never noticed before.

    In a protected post, when I’m NOT logged, WP-members displays a form with two fields for username and password.

    I access the page, I fill the form, then I click the login button: at this point, I don’t see the protected content, but a white page.

    In the browser console I see: “Failed to load response data”.

    The only thing I know is that if I hit the browser back button, my content is displayed.

    Can you help me? My plugin version is 3.1.7.

    P.S.: is there any way to simply redirect the user to the traditional login page and then automatically redirect him to the (un)protected post? The wp-login page is working pretty good

    I don’t know if this can be of any help for you, but I noticed the registration process suffers no issue: the problem is login from a protected post.

    What you described is pretty rare, but I have seen it before. Check with your host to see if your site is using a server cache called “Varnish”.

    Hi, Chad, initially I thought the same: some caching plugin.

    After two days of crazy researching, I found there’s a plugin conflicting with WP-members. Its name is Sky Login Redirect: I disabled any plugin except for yours. Then, I started enabling the plugins one by one. Finally, I found the one causing issues. ??

    Now, I want to understand better why they hate each other ??

    Hello, we are getting the same issue but are not using that plugin mentioned (Sky Login Redirect). I guess I have to disable all plugins and then re-enable individually?

    Trouble is it doesn’t seem to do it every time for some reason.

    Hi, nothing seems to happen after logging in. I’ve tried selecting “Remember Me” as well, but I’ll log in, it shows my profile info, then I click on the protected page again, and it behaves as though I’m not logged in and need to start over again. Any ideas what the problem might be?

    To the additional repliers in this thread I will suggest that you look into cache issues – specifically if your host is using a server level cache called “Varnish”. Varnish does not work for front end login/registration in WordPress unless you are able to set up specific URLs for logging in and registering to be ignored by Varnish.
