After having updated version 7.1.3 of Wordfence Security I have the following situation:

After submitting an update to a product, the site returns to a blank page.

After disabling the plugin, it worked perfectly wordpress.

I have products added through the backend REST API, which occurs properly. I then customize like any other product addition would – but when I hit update, all I get is a blank page.

There are four entries in my access log – all with response code 200… but a blank page as a response.

A similar issue (I would dare say the SAME issue) was reported and the user was suggested to switch to learning mode. I have switched to Learning mode, and it did not solve the problem.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @shirtsngiggles,

Can you see any errors in the browser console when you get that blank page?

Could you temporarily switch to a default theme –if you’re not already using one– and disable all other plugins then reactivate them one by one to see if the issue is related to a conflict?

To do so I recommend the “Health Check” plugin which allows you to disable all plugins and switch to a default theme, but only for your user.

No, no errors are shown in the browser console. The HTML is a simple empty webpage with an empty head, and an empty body.

Using the suggested Health Check plugin I was able to narrow down the conflict to the plugin Autopost to Instagram which was last updated on my site April 15 @ 18:28.

Wordfence was updated on my site on April 18th.

I had one product added to the system just after the auto post plugin was updated on April 15th (at 18:30) and that occured properly.

If I disable wordfence and enable auto post to instagram, the system functions.

if I enable wordfence and enable auto post to instagram, the system fails on product update.

if I enable wordfence and disable autopost to instagram, the system functions.

if I disable both, the system functions.

The combination of wordfence and auto-post-to-instagram is a failure state.

    Hi @shirtsngiggles,

Are there any errors in the PHP log file or web server error log?

Could you please temporarily enable WP_DEBUG and check any generated log files? (see the “Log Files” section on the “Wordfence –> Tools –> Diagnostics” page)
