    Hi, I installed versions 1.4.2 & 1.4.3 (at separate times, oldest one first) on my WP site. On each one, I receive error messages (javascript) and the plugin pages (main, about) are just blank. Can you help?

    Here are the error messages I’m getting:

    Hi,

    Yes I may try to help …
    Nevertheless, it is strange that the files transfered should have the correct type …

    header(‘Content-Type: application/x-javascript; charset=UTF-8’);

    and

    header(‘Content-Type: text/css’);

    Do you have any test server where I can see the issue ?

    What is your browser ?

    I’m using the latest Chrome, but I get the same problem in the latest Firefox. If I change the headers in the two files (with the ones you have above, would that fix it?

    I don’t have this problem on 3 other of my sites (on different servers), so this was surprising me.

    Could it also be a server problem, that somehow when uploading, or extracting from the zip, it’s changing the type?

    thanks for your help. I love the plug!!

    As a side-note, when I try to upload the plug through the WP install page, it takes forever to upload, extract and install – over an hour the other day!! Don’t know if that helps.

    Hi,

    It is not a problem with the file header as the CSS and the JS are not an actual file (but they are generated “on the fly”).

    Indeed it may be an issue with the server … Does they shares the same config ? (Linux/Window/Apaches/IIS etc?)

    It is very strange that it tooks hours to install. The install process is normally quick. Do you have try to install it manually ?

    Give me a link where I can see the issue please

    I’ll have to get you that information when I get back to my office in a couple hours. I’m not sure how to set up a “test server”, so I’ll just set up a temp user in my WP site. Will that work?

    And thanks for getting back so quickly. You’re the quickest support I’ve had so far!! Much appreciated.

    Create a sub directory in your server and install a fresh new install of wp … A test server would be useful to avoid any inconveniences to your visitors especially if it displays a blank page ??

    Obviously we are not on the same time zone :))

    Okay, I’ve set up a test server. Where should I send the login info?

    You should have a feedback tab in the plugin page on your admin panel ??

    Well, I talked to our server, and they said that I needed to implement a php5.cgi, to give the base user permission to create folders and such. I did that, and the plug loaded beautifully, and all is working now. So, the problem was on the server side. I think they’re using Apache. I don’t know much about the server-side stuff, so I usually need help on that end.

    Thanks for your help in this, and again, I love the plugin. Works beautifully…!!! Best of luck. Dave

    PS, by the way, is Sed Lex your name, or company name? And I see that you’re in France? So, I probably should say Bon chance!

    Thanks for the feedback and I am happy that your probklem is solved.

    SedLex is a pseudonym (in latin “dura lex sed lex” means “law is hard, but it is the law”) I like this expression and as I have a blog related to law …

    Yes I am French ??
