Hi, thank you for your great work. I would use this plugin, but there’s an issue that makes it quite impossible.

The loaded page turns blank at the first “mouse hover” event.

    The website is this: https://www.metalbarre.it/

I tried to deactivate WP-Rocket, SiteGround Optimizer, a popup plugin (Arscode Ninja Popups) and even deactivate all Complianz plugin integrations: nothing changes. The loaded page turns blank at the first “mouse hover” and that state remains for 3-4sec until the cursor moves again or leaves the page.

How could I understand what is causing this, and fix it? Thanks

I put the staging copy with Complianz here https://www.staging6.metalbarre.it/

    Hi @teoau,

Thanks for reporting your issue. It sounds like a CSS or javascript conflict, possibly with your theme.

To be able to help you, can you describe in more detail the steps you do to reproduce this? I have tried several things, hovering over menu items, cookie banner, etc, both in consented and not consented state, but I don’t see a blank page yet. On which specific item should I hover to see it? Do you have the issue in consented or in not consented state? And is it in a specific browser?

    In not consented state.

I see that 3-4sec blank state at any page load, with any browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).

I even tried to use a responsiveness tool (https://responsivetesttool.com/) to load the website and verify, and I see that blank state even there.

    Hi @teoau,

As this behavior seems to occur on the version of the site without Complianz, as well as the staging version of the site with Complianz; this seems to be unrelated to the Complianz plugin seeing as it happens regardless of whether you’re using this plugin.

Most-likely some script on your site results in this behavior occurring, for example, I see quite a number JS errors in the browser console which seem to relate to a Facebook script. I can imagine this is related.

But seeing as it happens regardless of whether Complianz is enabled, it seems to be related to something outside of the Complianz configuration.

    Kind regards, Jarno

Thanks, I will investigate on those JS facebook errors and ask Avada support to help me understand.

Anyway, I have to repeat that I’m experiencing no error like that on the site without Compliantz. On https://www.metalbarre.it I have no “blank pages on loading”.

    Hi @teoau,

I thought I saw similar behavior on the site without Complianz (blank page for a brief moment), but if you say that it only happens with Complianz enabled, it could be that there is some relation.

I would personally try narrowing down the potential causes until it no longer happens, at which point you’ll know more about what it’s related to; e.g. try if switching to a default WP theme resolves the issue, or check if it still happens with just Complianz & your theme enabled, without other plugins etc.

    Kind regards, Jarno

I deactivated all plugins and nothing changed; I switched to default theme WP 2024 and now seems to work normally.

The conflict appears to be with Avada :S

It seems that what caused that “blank status” were GTM and GAnalytics tracking codes in Avada option. If I remove them, Compliantz has no conflicts.

But I’m not sure if it’s normal to have to remove them. How could I do to let everything work?
