Blank page on wp-admin 2.7.1.

  • I know there have been questions already like this but I have yet to find an answer.

    I have tried installing wordpress about 3 times now and while it installs successfully, when i go to login to shortstackfan.com/wp-admin
    the page does not come up and leads me back to my hosts index page (000webhost.com)

    Ive checked through my files and there is no reason why the login should not come up.

    Any suggestions?
    I need this fixed asap.

  • Make sure the wp-admin directory is not missing any files. Comapre from a fresh distribution.
    Also what is the permisssions for that directory>?

    I’m getting a 404 Error on that page. Is your installation still active?

    Installation is still active. Only activated yesterday or the day before.

    I’ll download 2.7.1 again and check if any files are missing.

    Permissions? Sorry im not too html savvy.

    Downloaded it again and the same thing occured.

    Someone mentioned on yahoo answers that it may be my host? Im not too sure though as i have never had a problem with it until maybe now.

    But yeah this permissions thing? lol help?

    you have 2 different urls in your
    admin – settings – general

    you need to change both to the correct address
