Blank page returned when commenting (Akismet’s fault)

  • Disabling Akismet removes the blank page after submitting a comment. What’s wrong with Akismet these days? I want to keep the Akismet service, but want my comments to work. Or do I have to choose one or the other?

  • Have you upgraded? The latest version is 1.15.

    Thanks, that fixed it.

    Why does not upgrading break the comments? That doesn’t make sense, because I’m sure there are thousands of users who don’t upgrade their Akismet regularly.

    Who knows, there was probably a bug that slipped past the developpers in the version you were running, and they fixed it in 1.15.
