• Hello,

I hope that all of you are well and happy.

Unfortunately, the parameter section of the WordPress dashboard does not show any parameters.

All I can see is the left-hand panel that contains all of the various settings which normally make up WordPress Settings, Pages etc.

Here is a link to the image, showing you exactly what the problem is.

    How can I remedy this?

    Thank you,

    Phil.

  • My bet is that you are getting a fatal PHP error. Put define('WP_DEBUG',true); in your wp-config.php and load the page.

Is this a new install? Do you have plugins? What theme?

    Hello,

It is Catch Theme, a custom child responsive one for Buddypress..

Many plugins, all worked fine until today.

May I ask what part of the wp-config.php I place your suggest code?

And also, what will it reveal?

    Thank you,

    Phil.

You probably already have define('WP_DEBUG',false); in wp-config.php. Just change it to true, but it doesn’t matter where it the file that goes, really, so long as it is inside the php tags. It will cause debugging messages to show up, which will hopefully tell you what function is failing. It won’t be pretty– basically just a raw text dump. You can also set WP_DEBUG_LOG and WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY, if you want.

    Hi Phil,

There seems to be problem with the wordpress-custom-avatars-plugin not with our theme.

    Regards,
    Sakin

@philcaffey, are you using the wordpress-custom-avatars-plugin?

    Hello,

Yes, the plugin was causing the problem.

    Sakin identified it. :O)

Incidentally I cannot recommend the Catch theme I using enough, it works a treat.

That along with their support made my introduction into BuddyPress a reality.

Thank you all for your assistance.

    Phil.
