Blank Plugins page

  • I’ve gone through the internet trying to find a solution but have been unable to.

    Have mysteriously had Akismet fail to stop a bunch of spam comments lately so I dropped into the admin page and checked it out. I notice it’s asking me for FTP details as it can’t update automatically. Regardless, I do it manually and download a new version of akismet and place it into the plugins folder, overwriting the old folder in /plugins/

    Now, when I go to the plugins folder in the admin control panel, I’m faced with a blank screen.

    So I go to the folder structure and rename the /plugins/ folder to /oldplugins/, go back to the admin control panel and it’s still showing as a blank page. However, the weird thing is, it’s bloody showing the plug ins still in the side menu on the homepage:

    What the hell?

    How can I get my plugins back again?

    My Edit Plugins page shows this error:

    Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/b981eptb/public_html/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php on line 233

    And as you can see, it’s still showing all the plugins, despite the whole folder being renamed?

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

    – Rename the plugins irectory via FTP and rename all the plugins. Enable it one by one to find out the culprit.
    – Upgrade your wordpress version to the latest one.

    I’ve done that but it’s made no difference.

    The crazy thing is, when I rename the /plugins/ folder, they are still visible on the ‘edit plugins’ page as per the screenshot above.

    Anybody?

    OK this is driving me crazy!!

    BUNCH OF CRAZY RIGHT HERE

    Are Plugins info stored or cached anywhere else? Apart from the actual /plugins/ folder, where else would it read from?

    Incidentally I cannot upgrade to 2.9 as it will break my theme.
