    Could you please turn on the debug mode by adding the following line to your wp-config.php and try again?

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', TRUE );

    So, I see the error messages and can tell, what’s wrong.

    Now activating the plugin works fine.
    I go and have a closer look and play around a little bit.
