Blank Screen on Analytics and Marketing Menus

    Hi,

    I see a white/blank screen in the backend when I click on Analytics and Marketing menus, and its submenus after updating to WooCommerce latest version.

    I also tried deactivating other plugins for troubleshooting and it didn’t work. Please help.

    Hi there ??

    I see that you have deactivated all plugins in order to check if that solved the problem, but I’m not sure if you checked if the theme was causing the conflict.

    This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Before you start

    1. First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like?Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.
    2. Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    Hi,

    Thank you so much for your quick response, @gabrielfuentes.

    Yes, your assumption was right that I did not test with the active theme. There is a reason I was not so critical about my active theme and plugins. Before I tell you why, I must inform that I followed all your instructions to check if that resolved the issue.

    Sorry, the issue persisted. Then I went ahead and installed the troubleshooting plugin Health Check and Troubleshooting that you recommended, and the result was the same. No matter whatever submenus I click on under Analytics and Marketing it shows a blank/white screen.

    Now, coming to my preconceived notions. The site where I experience the issue is a site under a WordPress Multisite installation. There are other sites on the same network running with the same theme and plugin without any issue. So, I did not believe that theme or plugins could be a reason. Nevertheless, I tried all the common techniques of troubleshooting to make sure the problem is not originating from one of the plugins and theme. I also tried; the tools available on the WooCommerce>Status>Tools page without any success.

    I guess something went wrong with the WooCommerce database during the update. Or why would only two sites experience that problem where others with similar configuration are running without that issue?

    Now I’m starting to worry as they are my production sites. I would appreciate it if you can help me resolve this.

    • System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
    • Error log: share a copy of the fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available)

    Upon checking further about this issue, I can see that this is a known bug that will be fixed in the next WooCommerce release. Until then, you can install and activate the WooCommerce Admin plugin. It has the fix for this issue and should take care of this for you.

    Now that you have installed the WooCommerce Admin plugin, can you please perform a plugin and theme conflict check one more time in order to see if the issue persis?

    Steps:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    2. Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Admin
    3. Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    Hi,

    I just did as you asked with the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, and it didn’t work.

    This is a very frustrating experience as you already pointed out that WooCommerce Admin has that fix. Then what else is a probable reason for that?

    I do understand your frustration, @minhajulhaque.

    In this case, I’d recommend going ahead to the following GitHub bug report and add your own comment to the thread. This will give the developers a good idea of the size and impacts of the issue.
