    Been noticing blank sections (just all white) before ‘content’ starts.
    You have to scroll down the page(s) just to view content.

    Think this is happening before the footer as well.

    HELP

    And I’m not the techie that created everything…I’m the owner one that wants to fix, but also conscious I don’t want to really mess things up either.

    at the top, under the header there is some content which is set to visibility:hidden; using CSS. this is likely contributing to creating the “empty space”.
    can you get in contact with the person that created the website (child theme).
    if you comment out the css for visibility selector, the content might be visible and give you a starting point for resolving.

    html:not(.is_smallScreen) .wt_animations .wt_animate {
        visibility: hidden;
        display: block;
        position: relative;
        z-index: 2;
    }

    Lisa, appreciate the note.

    WordPress is not performing, full stop.
    Just too many issues to even start addressing.

    For a non-techie, there is just no support.

    Unable to even think of making simple edits, at every turn (just about every page) there are now issues. so dis-heartning.

    Going to have to find someone to rebuild.
