    We have a strange situation!

    Yoast SEO is working great for us; however, we have a couple of pages where “SEO Title” and “Meta Desc” are blank in our WP Admin pages section. Click here for details.

    Everything else is fine (i.e., Google search results show the meta description, etc.).

    We double-checked our SEO Yoast entries, compared our entries to other pages, deactivated all plugins to find the culprit(s), and even checked this forum for answers best we could, but nothing found.

    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    @jetxpert Have the pages where this is occurring had a title/meta description set on the page in the snippet editor?

    Also, if you try resaving the page, does the title/meta description then show up under the pages overview?

    Also, can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v14.3? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

    Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. ?If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue?

    Just wanted to chime in on this. We too are having the exact same issue. Meta is updated in post but also completely blank as jetxpert’s image shows. Yes, to updated yoast plugin, and correct wordpress version. Re-saving does not fix it. Neither does clearing site, server, or browser cache. Interestingly the “keyword” section on that WP admin pages section does update and is showing the update. Meta Description, however, remains blank.

    Hi @rochellemariah ,

    Sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties. Please create a new issue if you are experiencing a similar problem as this helps us in tracking as this can be caused by many different variables (WordPress version, other plugins, etc).

    @devnihil,

    Thank you for your help. Yes, we’re using Yoast 14.3 and WP 5.4.2. We re-saved affected pages, cleared cache, but still have the problem.

    Could a database table corruption be part of the problem? If so, how can we re-generate the affected table(s) without losing our data?

    Again, thank you.

    Unfortunately, no known workaround exists.
