Blank Sitemap Index File

    Hi there,

    My sitemap_index.xml is showing a blank page. I tried some steps to see where the problem lies. I did the following:

    1. I tried resaving the permalink – Sitemap was blank
    2. I disabled all plugins – Sitemap was blank
    3. I activated a standard WordPress Theme – Sitemap was still blank.
    4. Opened the sitemap in Firefox – It gave the following error: “Error loading stylesheet: Parsing an XSLT stylesheet failed”
    5. Opened the xsl file in Firefox – It gave a 404 error
    6. oh and also tried with my host, they couldn’t help either.

    Can anyone provide some help with this?

    And by the way, my plugin is up to date.

    Sorry to hear about your issue. We have few questions:

    1. Can you please confirm if you are now on Yoast SEO 11.6?

    2. If you clear your site’s cache and then disable/re-enable your XML sitemap under SEO > General > Features > XML sitemaps, does the issue resolve?

    3. Have you tried performing a conflict check?
