Blank Textboxes on Slider & Slider Formatting

  • When I create a page and set the featured image to be used on the homepage slider, a few issues have emerged:

    1. There are two additional, blank translucent ‘text boxes’ above and below the text pulled from the slider page and displayed on the homepage slider. How do I remove these?

    2. I noticed in the demo the slider text has formatting that is displayed on the main page slider, but when changing format for the text on the slider page, formatting isn’t displayed on the main page slider. How do I format the slider text? (e.g. italics, bold)
