Blank Toolbar and Content on Edit page

  • Wordpress 4.7, WP Edit 4.0, Theme Twenty Sixteen 1.3. No other plugins, default WP Edit settings, Firefox 50.0.2

    When I go to Edit Page/Post (with Add New or edit existing post) the WP Edit Toolbar and the content area are allocated but blank. When WP Edit is deactivated the edit page is normal.

    I looked at Firefox Inspector. The content div showed “visibility:hidden”. The html for toolbar buttons was present. CSS conflict??
