The CSV looks ok to me – how is the Attributes tab set up?

This is how the Size 5m attribute looks

I mean the attributes tab above the Variations in the product editor

Oh yes that might make more sense! Sorry!

    Here you go

    Many thanks

    That looks ok too!

Can you paste that CSV into here – it’s only one product so I can try it on a test site

Not sure if it likes it when I copy the CSV in to here but does this link work for you? Ive just sent it to myself on wetransfer and this is the link to download.

Once again many thanks for your help.

Just tried importing and noticed 2 things:

Column E: Published – should all be set to 1

Column AP: Attribute 1 visible – I think should also be all set to 1

Once I did that it imported fine: https://ibb.co/8dXMShr

Try it again with those changes – but before you do, delete the product your previously imported and go to the bin and empty it.

Yes I’ve tried it with all sorts of combinations. I set it as 0 on Column E just so its not published straight away and column AP setting this to 1 just displays all the variations on the product page under the additional information.

When I look at the front end of the webpage products they dont actually display the blank variants its just in the back end product editor they are displayed, I guess this doesnt really cause a problem other the me wanting it to be tidy!

I’ve even run some old CSV imports from when I originally put the site together and even they are doing it! I’ll just have to delete them manually, I’ve only got about 40 ish products to upload with 13 variations per product!

    Thanks again.

    Hi @jamiebh

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing with importing variable products into your WooCommerce site. Based on the information you’ve provided, it appears that the CSV file might not be formatted correctly, leading to the creation of duplicate blank variations.

To resolve this, please ensure that your CSV file follows the correct format for variable products. For each variation, you should have a separate row with the SKU, attributes, and other details filled out. The ‘Parent’ column should contain the SKU of the parent product for all variations.

Meanwhile, I imported your products on my personal site, however, I am unable to reproduce the issue you mentioned above. Can you please share once again the correct CSV file here?

Furthermore, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.
