blank white page instead of site

  • after installing a database caching plugin, neither my site nor my admin panel will show up…instead, just a blank white page shows up whenever i log in or go to my site…what should i do about this? is there a way to fix it? or do i need to start over

  • Try deleting the plugin and seeing what happens. Usually a blank screen means that you’ve got a problem with your database, so the db caching plugin is probably the culprit.

    How did you install the db caching plugin? Which plugin was it?

    Here are some things you might try to troubleshoot this problem:

    1) If you installed the plugin using FTP or have access to your site’s files, remove the plugin and try to look at your site again.

    2) Do a view source on the blank page to see if there is anything in the HTML.

    3) If you can access them, your web server’s error_log file might have something useful in them. This would be things like “unable to find file” or such.

    thanks guys! ill try it out and let you know how it goes….i think it was the db cache plugin that did it
