• Hi,

I′m using the blask theme and have created two projects in my portfolio, which I want to be displayed on the front page. I don′t know why, but the projects don′t appear in the portfolio page, that I already created using the portfolio page template and set to be the static front page for my website.

What could be causing this problem?

    Thanks!

    Vika

  • Hi Vika,

Can you share a link to your site? I’ll take a look into the front page code from there.

Please also confirm that you’ve activated Jetpack’s custom content type module and published your portfolio items via Portfolio > Add New.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

here is a link to my site: https://simkina.gacrux.uberspace.de/atelier1/

Yes, I have activatedJetpack’s custom content type module and published my portfolio items via Portfolio > Add New. It still doesn′t show on the front page ??

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Vika,

Your portfolio items are also not loading via the following link, which indicates an issue with Jetpack:

    https://simkina.gacrux.uberspace.de/atelier1/portfolio/

As a test, navigate to Settings > Permalinks in your admin area and then click on the button to Save Changes. This will flush/reset your permalink settings and may be enough to resolve the issue.

This issue could also be caused by a plugin conflict. Could you please try disabling all plugins (apart from Jetpack) one by one to see if your portfolio items then load?

If you can’t pinpoint a plugin that’s causing the issue, I recommend contacting the Jetpack team directly via this contact form. Let them know the troubleshooting steps you’ve taken so far and they’ll be able to assist further from there.

    Hi!

I have some similar issues to display the different projects of my portfolio on the front page of my website.

Actually this problem occured after changing the theme and then going back to the first theme i’ve chosen (which is the Blask theme).

Before this change, the projects where normally displayed on the front page.

I checked the Custom content types portfolio box, and the portfolio page is set as the main page.

Actually, i think i know where this problem comes from but don’t know how to fix it :

the permalink of the front page is naturally the adress of my website (‘www.camillesilvain.com’), but the permalink of the projects of the portfolio is ‘www.camillesilvain.com/portfolio/project’.
It’s easy to see that the two pages are not linked together, as they don’t have the same path of permalink, but i don’t know how to go through it.

Do you have any idea to help me plase?
(And sorry for my english which is not my mother tongue)

    thanks,
    camille

My website, timyoung.ca has switched back and forth between showing portfolios in two rows as is meant, to now showing in one row enlarged. Can I have this returned to the proper format?

Another probably elementary procedure is the issue of my wanting different topics in the left menu containing related portfolios shown in rows when these separate pages are clicked. Am I missing something when after clicking each menu item, I get the same portfolios shown as the page before?

    Thanks for the assistance.
