• I do not use the block editor, although I am helping on a website that does. So question, once a post is saved in the block editor, can classic editor be used to make changes and saved? Or does each post need to pick what editor it is using and then be consistent?

    The latter — if you started with the block editor, continue with the block editor. If you started with the classic editor and disable that plugin, the post will use a classic block, which you can continue using or convert into another block (or blocks).

    So if I am understanding this correctly..
    If a post has been made in Classic Editor and down the road that plugin is removed, the post will revert to a ‘block’ style but the content will remain the same?

    Yes, and the content will be in a “classic block”.
