Block editor?

    I have used Subscribe2 for years, simply by activating the plugin and adding a widget. It was all good.

    I now have a site that has no widget areas, though I could set one up if I needed to. But when I look at the installation instructions, there seems to be no information on the widget. Instead, the instructions are for a “Subscribe2 shortcode or token: [subscribe2] or the HTML invisible <!--subscribe2-->“.

    I am using the block editor, and I don’t see any “S2” button nor a QuickBar.

    Can you please advise me whether this all works in the bock editor, or should I set up a widget area?

    Or have I completely misunderstood?

    Sorry to bother anyone. I worked this out. The shortcode can be placed in the text manually, and in the footer using this code:

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[subscribe2]'); ?>
