Block editor

  • In the block editor (WP 5.4.1) the ‘Download Categories’ and ‘Download Tags’ meta boxes are missing. They are available in ‘quick edit’ so not a huge issue.

    On a brand new site, adding a new download brings up the block editor, and it works very well apart from the missing categories and tags.

    On an older site that has been updated over time, downloads still use the old classic editor.

    I guess I have two questions.
    Is it possible to somehow force the older site to use the block editor for downloads?
    If not, are there plans to fully support the block editor in a future release of EDD?
