Block editor “disappeared” after upgrade to 5.7

  • It automatically upgraded to 5.7 and now I do not have block editor only classic. I need guidance on how to get the block editor back. Some of my pages and posts will not open at all, and some have code that I cannot read. Is there somewhere I can get explicit instructions about what I need to do to uninstall or install plugins. Thank you for your patience with a complete novice.
    I am using Chrome.
