• Hello, I am working with WordPress 6.1.4 and whenever I want to modify a block of text it displays “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”.

Also in the console there is a React error, but it doesn’t really helped me.

Error: Minified React error #152; visit https://reactjs.org/docs/error-decoder.html?invariant=152&args[]=St for the full message or use the non-minified dev environment for full errors and additional helpful warnings.

St(…): Nothing was returned from render. This usually means a return statement is missing. Or, to render nothing, return null.

Should I try to update my wordpress? I’m kinda scared of doing the update because it’s an old website and there are ~30 plugins.

  • I would update, yes. But start by updating your plugins first. If the oldest ones for some reason do not have current updates, disable those while you upgrade the rest, and consider upgrading WordPress itself with all your plugins disabled.

    (Note to self … ;-D)
