• I have my default editor format set to the classic format. When I tried in the post editing page to change from classic to block format I got an error message and it wouldn’t switch to the block format.

Does this mean I need to change the default editor format and cannot do so for individual posts unless the system-wide default is Block as well?

I have the Classic editor plugin installed. Could this be conflicting with the Block setting on the post edit page?

    If so, this is inconvenient.

No, this behavior predated the current update.

    Hi!

On our side we tried to reproduce the same issue and it works fine. Could you maybe share a screenshot of what are you experiencing?

Does it happens for all posts or only a few? Can you try to create a simple post with a paragraph and switch to the block editor to see if you’re able to reproduce the error? Beside the classic editor, what other plugins do you have installed?

    Thanks!
