Block IP Addresses on site hosted at GoDaddy

    I would like to block 117.21.*.* because of all the fake handbag posts they are generating. I created the file .htaccess and put it in the root where my WordPress folders are located. The file contents are:
    deny from 117.21.*.*
    It did not solve the problem, and I am quite new at all of this….so I thought I’d ask how to do this.
