It doesn’t seem to be working in 3.6.5, the latest version. I block an IP range and still get live traffic showing up from that range. I found on their site someone who posted that they set it to delete the database and tables on deactivation and then uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and then the IP range blocking worked, but that didn’t work for me.
I have some stuff coming in from China and they rotate IP addresses on each hit, so I need to be able to block a range of IP addresses. Entering all 65000 + IP addresses they are using, manually, would be a pain I’m not willing to endure.
Looking for a different solution if this doesn’t work. It is one of the primary reasons I chose Wordfence for my clients.
