    Hi,

We use Content Control on a couple of sites. On this particular website, this is the second time the block-level controls have partially stopped working, displaying “logged out” content to “logged in” users. It’s a mystery why the “logged out” protection doesn’t work but the “logged in” protection does. We already tried disabling the block controls, reenabling them, etc. Any idea what’s causing the issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Same here.
Logged-in users can see a content that should be shown toLogged-out users.
I will postpone this update until this to be sloved.

@brightleafgil, @nobo73 – Thanks for the reports, patch submitted, will go out later tomorrow (or today depending on where you are).

Just to confirm are the users who are able to see the content still, also able to edit it? If so you might try testing a user who can’t edit the post to confirm my findings & fix will handle your case too.

In my debugging I found a check that let authors/editors of a post bypass restrictions outside of “post previews”.

Hi, thank you for your support. I am waiting for the update, but I still can not see any patched update yet.

Do I need to download the patch from somewhere else?

Hey everyone, thanks for your patience, I think it will be well worth it.

v2.4.0 is officially available, should resolve this as well as provide a 60-90% reduction in plugin overhead, meaning it does all the protecting with 1/10th the performance penalty.
